For the 26th time, the Umsonst und Draussen festival will take place in Mössingen this year.
In 2009, the U&D will be held for the first time at the Hegwiesensportplatz. After the old site was cleared by excavators and is now being developed into a sports hall, the move became necessary.
The special feature lies mainly in the fact that the festival is organized, set up, carried out, and dismantled entirely with the help of volunteers. There is no commercial concept from which a company or an individual benefits. If a few euros are left over, which is rather rare, they are saved and invested in the next festival. The whole event is supported and coordinated by the youth services of the city of Mössingen and the team from the youth center "M" - this includes, among other things, close cooperation with the public works department and the city gardening department.
