http://www.punkrockers-radio.de - More than just punk rock
A fundamental human need is to listen to music, and this has also been possible over the internet for some time now. With Winamp, you can easily listen to the radio online. In addition to the large broadcasting stations, there are also pure internet radios, one of which is Punkrockersradio. Punkrockersradio is a small, private radio station that mainly survives through donations and volunteer work. 26 moderators provide a varied program with different music from the genres of punk, ska, Oi!, and hardcore. You can reach us through the page http://www.punkrocker-radio.de, where you can find the latest information about the radio, the moderators introduce themselves, bands can get in touch with the radio, the chat for the radio is accessible from there, and much more. So just take a look, it's worth it.
You can listen to quite a lot of shows, starting with specials about specific bands, the promotion of unknown bands (if you know a small punk / Oi! / ska / HC band in your area or play in one that deserves to be thrown to the masses, then send an email to henry_jette@web.de), specials about football events (St. Pauli), shows without a theme, and shows on crazy topics. This is always at the discretion of the respective moderator, who with a lot of humor and effort sometimes makes the radio life chaotic but still fun and colorful.
All of this sounds rosy and great, but we wouldn't be in Germany if it were all that simple. At the moment, it looks like the station pays €26.75 per month to the GVL, which will be over €350 per month starting in April 2005. The GEMA also wants to increase the fees. This would mean the end for web radio sooner or later. We have no economic profit and would not be able to bear these fees independently. In fact, this inappropriate fee increase drives many of the small, private web radios into illegality if they want to continue their broadcasting operations. You can find more information at http://www.radioring.de.
I myself am still a "newbie" at Punkrockers and enjoy making shows. What particularly pleases me is that listeners can directly contact the moderators via chat and request music. During the day, this can also end in quite a chaos, but we wouldn't be Punkrockers Radio if we couldn't handle that. Our listeners are by no means just hardcore punk rockers, which can already be seen in our moderators, who roam in various spectra of alternative music. But just convince yourself and click in. http://www.punkrockers-radio.de, we are here for you: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
