Violently and experimentally played rock with some serious balls, which are pressed onto the record here. Dude, where is this going with grandMal? From recording to recording, they are evolving into a truly authentic and absolutely awesome hardcore/industrial jazz formation. Singer AUCH screams his soul out as always, and does so with finesse in each piece of the eleven grenades that have recently been available at Renkontre Tonwaren. The record clearly reflects what they also deliver live. With pure violence and a minimalist approach, they leave their mark and want to show everyone with this release. The really good recordings this time are accompanied by various samplers, which I wasn't familiar with but still find fitting. On the other hand, the inlay is sparsely filled with information, just like the home base, which is quite a shame as it is not made accessible. Sparse simplicity can also look nice, as is the case here. A few live pictures of a mummy dressed in a suit, and for those who don't quite understand the lyrics being delivered in German, they can quickly find them in the inlay. Anyone who likes to acquire new unknown records should definitely jump on this one. grandMal's third album is definitely not an earworm record; there are already enough of those out there. They are cooking in their own juice, and you can hear and feel that - what more could you want?
