Here it is, the fifth and latest release from POISON THE WELL on FERRET.
The post-hardcore/metalcore band from Miami, Florida, is one of the most respected and well-known bands in their genre and has had an enormous influence since their first album in 1998.
After Geoff Bergman (bass) and Derek Miller (guitar) left the band in 2004, only two founding members, Ryan Primack (guitar) and Chris Hornbrook (drums), remain active. The band, which may have been almost forgotten at times, has consistently managed to surprise, convince, and send new signals of life with new releases, securing their well-deserved place in the scene.
The U.S. magazine "Guitar World" rightly counts the 1999 album "The Opposite of December" among the 100 most important rock albums of all time.
For this reason alone, no hardcore enthusiast needs any introduction or comparison with other bands.
With 11 tracks spanning an incredible 47 minutes, this album once again delivers in the old-fashioned way, albeit with variety, which only makes it more interesting and, in a positive sense, heavier, enticing listeners to pay close attention.
If you want to get a sense of it, check out their Myspace page, listen, and assure yourself that I am not lying.
