SARAH BLACKWOOD may ring a bell for some.
The petite and energetic lady is the singer of the punkabilly-horrorpunk band THE CREEPSHOW. Although the band is often on tour, Sarah still seems to have enough energy and calm to pursue her own projects.
With “Wasting Time“, Sarah is releasing her second solo album.
The debut was entirely carried by Sarah herself. For this album, she has now brought in some support. Daniel Flamm accompanies Sarah and sings two songs with her in duet. This added support gives the songs a bit more drive and makes them somewhat more varied than on the previous album.
Stylistically, SARAH BLACKWOOD has remained in classic territories. Her style consists largely of country and western music, with influences from pop and blues.
The music is diverse, as far as one can say that about acoustic music. However, each song is absolutely carried by SARAH BLACKWOOD's voice. It gives the songs the longing, the sadness, and the heart. Especially when Sarah hits melancholic notes, it opens your heart. These are pure feelings! It makes you pause.
SARAH BLACKWOOD has created an album with “Wasting Time“ that touches the heart.
Almost everything is right here! And the most important thing, the album is honest. This is something that many artists in this field have lost. “Wasting Time“ can thus not only be celebrated as a great album but can also easily hold its own against a multitude of albums in this genre.
