Goodness gracious...
Awesome punk rock music from Berlin (actually from Strausberg near Berlin).
The CD has been on constant rotation in the car for about a quarter of a year (well, almost constant rotation, but at least quite often, because => awesome!). I somehow didn’t manage (and didn’t want to) to take the CD out for this review.
“Something is always” => 15 tracks + 1 hidden track + without a single filler track = 16 killer songs between 30 seconds and 4 minutes => resulting in a net playing time of 39 minutes of fast + melodic + awesome punk rock [for which Mylos (dr), Kalle (b), Jan, and Atze (git) are responsible] in the style of CASANOVAS SCHWULE SEITE (there’s also a cover song included), KNOCHENFABRIK, CHEFDENKER, and SUPERNICHTS! So intentionally slightly off-key singing, but not so off-key that it splits your skull, like in those shows with Dieter, Dieter Bohlen is always like, totally unbearable... No, this slight off-key singing from Gordy really resonates with me!!!
In our mother tongue (otherwise it would be difficult with the reference bands), the usual punk rock themes are addressed, such as drinking (and vomiting), fucking (and not getting around to it), and working (and surfing the internet after work). However, not following the now assumed motto “Dull is Trump,” but really brilliantly put on point. Additionally, there are songs about a currently extravagant subculture (or is it already mainstream?) + the desire to be a star + the daily grind....
Yes, that’s how INWIEFERN are on their way up, to the very top with their second (vinyl) album, which comes with a CD & download code. This already gives my usual bonus point for the courage to release a record. However, this piece of polyvinyl chloride is very limited, with only 150 copies each in black or white, so you better hurry! Hurry also applies to INWIEFERN, who have been around for over 10 years now, there are big gaps in the (elevated German-speaking) punk rock realm to fill!
