BLASKE are punk! - Punk with melody, heart, and an open ear... I can't describe BLASKE any better than how it is stated in the release information. Right on point.
Musically, the 3 (brothers? cousins?) Blaskes => Stefan, Yuri, Ole, and Danjo Martilleo hit hard with their 10 three-minute punk rock songs, really well on the 12.... Musically, everything just fits, melody, tempo, riffs, all crisp and cool.... musically speaking....
Lyrics, simply great.... from affection to politics, everything is included, with sophisticated lyrics and a certain flair.
And then there's the singing..... yeah... no.... sorry, but I can't get along with the shouting and the (partially) choppy word fragments... I actually like good shouting or screaming... but here BLASKE doesn't hit my subjective taste, it could be better.
A little listening tip on the side => turn on "Herz", whose video is linked above. The chorus is much rounder and more appealing than the verses....
Overall, there are also 12 songs, with the first slow 50-second song "Für immer ziemlich kurz" perfectly merging into the next song "Visum" in the middle of the album. The last track "5 nach 12" also stands out at the end... with the spoken word, it reminds me a bit of "Jeanny" by FALCO, but only in the verses... The structure of the 6-minute song does remind me a little of QUEEN's "Bohemian Rhapsody", without me wanting to be presumptuous.
Conclusion: The debut album "Vom Schwinden der Dinge" by the 4 Berliners is already great except for the singing (and everyone has their own opinion on that). When I think of our first release, especially the singing (little insider) - ohhhhh ;-) But this isn't about me...
Check out the three YouTube videos, musically you will be delighted and the rest will show itself.
