The Kunstverein (Nürnberg punk club) is set to be closed. Arguments are being made that guests of the KV scare off other guests and that the low prices lead to "loss of revenue in the rest of the house."

"www.kv-bleibt.de" According to the current plans of the operators of the cultural center Z-Bau (AG Z-Bau GmbH) and the city of Nürnberg, there will be no Kunstverein in half a year!
We are to be evicted and there are no other spaces! We are being sanitized away in favor of commercial purposes!
The Kunstverein Hintere Cramergasse e.V. is a socio-cultural institution dedicated to promoting art and culture and is a fixed part of the youth and subculture landscape of Nürnberg. For over 30 years, cultural work has been done here voluntarily and in a grassroots democratic manner across generations.

We create a respectful atmosphere for everyone in our spaces and at our events. There is no place for discrimination based on sexual orientation, skin color, origin, or gender.
The KV - a fixed part of the music scene for years with over 120 events per year - is known far beyond southern Germany.
Now we are to clear our space in the "alternative" cultural center Z-Bau in favor of city-subsidized commercial establishments?
