LOS FASTIDIOS, what should I write about the band that isn't already known?
Anyone who hasn't lived isolated in a basement since 1991 should know the band and understand what they stand for.
As a street punk and Oi band, they have increasingly evolved into a ska band with influences from soul, pop, reggae, and rocksteady over the last 10-15 years. Occasionally, I miss the old street punk songs, but I too have grown older and am no longer always in the midst of the pogo crowd. Today, it's nice to dance relaxed to the music and have a good time. Times change...
LOS FASTIDIOS have aged more than well.
Aged?
The band has been on the road more than at home for years. The kilometers the band covers in a year, many probably don't do in five years. No matter how long the drive was or how long they were stuck in traffic, on stage in the evening, the band rarely shows signs of aging.
The development towards slower, but all the more danceable songs has been clearly noticeable since at least 2019. The reviews of the releases since 2019 can be read here:

And now comes LOVESTEADY.
The wordplay is meant literally, rocksteady and love.
Love, solidarity, being there for each other, these are not just empty phrases for LOS FASTIDIOS, but their life. Especially in these times, with their (fabricated) crises, (voluntary) isolation, and escape into virtual worlds, it is important that we set a counterweight. A counterweight that shows why we are human.
With this album, as well as with their previous albums, LOS FASTIDIOS provide a lot of strength and courage, whether it's with "You´re so Young"
..you´re so young, but you´re wiser than the most people buzzing around you.
Don´t care about what people say, don´t care about what people write,
don´t care about what people think, be yourself...
or with "Music for Peace"
Make Music not War,
fight the system not the people
The band continues to clearly position itself for animal rights and a strictly vegan lifestyle. Why is pork a tasty snack for us, but we don't touch our cat, also an animal? Is the pig worth less? Less of an animal than our pet? Think about it.
Elisa Dixan, a permanent band member for several years, sings a few songs on LOVESTEADY again. There are songs in English, French, and of course in Italian. That sounds like variety, and it is.
LOS FASTIDIOS encourage live celebrations and dancing together. This might sometimes be a bit much and displeases some, but overall, one must say that what the band has been doing for years is simply incredible and deserves our greatest respect.
LOS FASTIDIOS connect people through their music and attitude.
LOS FASTIDIOS create situations where previously unfamiliar people talk to each other after the concert, form new friendships, and are less alone together.
LOS FASTIDIOS give strength... a lot of strength.
The band has been on the road since 1991, and every few years there is a new album. This has been the case for so long, and it keeps going.
LOVESTEADY will, I am fully convinced, excite all fans and those who want to become fans. There is something for everyone. This album showcases the band's wide range, both musically and lyrically.
LOVESTEADY is an album that couldn't be better.
The band is on tour all year round and has more than earned the chance for people to come by and have a nice evening.
I am truly excited about this album, about this... yes, one could say... important work that has been released at the right time.
Mille Grazie, LOS FASTIDIOS.
