If you haven't found a soundtrack for the upcoming summer yet, you should definitely consider buying the album by The Soviettes. It's from last year, but so what? Really great punk rock is offered here. The songs range from fast to a bit slower, but they all rock. The vocals are mainly performed by the female gender. The sound is the perfect mix of dirty and well-produced, the music has a slight poppy touch while still being punk rock, and the background choruses nicely round off the whole thing. Although sometimes there are fewer choruses and more of a complementary background vocal. It's all beautifully melodic without being Melodic Punk. Again, it's one of those albums that you can easily listen through, and it has a solid stash of hits. If you wanted to open a beer for every hit, you'd better buy a case of Krombacher Elf. But first and foremost, of course, get this record, which is also available on CD.
