The year is 1996, when a few guys from Franconia come together to form SCHIZOSTURM, as there weren't many significant bands in the local scene. This band was crafted from groups like BRASSKNUCKELS, MONDO ANAL, and AHNUNGSLOS. Even back then, they placed great importance on well-crafted lyrics in both German and English, avoiding the usual clichés and unafraid to challenge their own comfort zones. Here, a healthy mix of Old School Hardcore from the 80s, as it should be, combined with a bit of street punk and Oi, blows your mind away. I won't attempt a band comparison since SCHIZOSTURM does their own thing and cannot or should not be pigeonholed. In 2000, they released their first long player, DIE WELT IST SCHÖN. After a fun tour with OIGENZ, they finally recorded ALLES SOLL SO BLEIBEN WIE ES IST in 2001 and released it DIY. In 2003, their latest release, THE TEAM IS BACK, came out. This album was promoted during their Germany tour with THE HIGGINS. I still enjoy listening to all their records today, and each album has its own message and power. Keks, one of the Schizos, not only plays the drums here but, as few know, also plays drums for REJECTED YOUTH. This album is a very good BEST OF that I can only recommend to every punk rocker. It features 3 works from the period of 2000 to 2003 with 6 bonus songs from earlier works from 1989 to 1996, all on one CD with a total of 25 songs available for a mere 7 euros from the NIX GUT label. Detailed band info for each individual track, along with old concert flyers and pictures, is included in the nicely designed cartoon inlay! I give it full marks!
