MONGREL come from Munich and play powerful punk with some elements of hardcore and a bit of ska. When we had them at one of our VOLL GAS festivals, they still had their debut album with them, which is quite impressive considering their age and existence as a band. They bravely play their hearts out on stages across Germany and have been making a very good impression for 4 years now. With 16 tracks, they kick off their second album here, showcasing a very diverse sound. Sometimes hard, sometimes melodic, listening to this is a lot of fun for me. You can clearly see a unity here. The songs are all well-crafted, and especially the drummer is doing more than just a good job. The sound has matured, and some songs have a real hit quality that makes you want to nod along after just one listen. This is a nice album from Long Beach Records & Fond Of Life Records that, in my opinion, deserves a spot near every CD player. The artwork in the inlay is quite nicely done, and you can read everything a fan should know. Recommended! Homepage
