Here’s a taste from the boot country of pizza/pasta masters. Everything I’ve heard from Italy so far has generally been good and had something to offer! With OVO, I honestly have real problems, even though I greatly appreciate the industrial brutal sound. Musically, they could easily be compared to GRANDMAL or JUMBO JET. Industrial hardcore with rough female vocals that pretty much ride their own ego track. The music hits hard here and there, but I can't get along with the singer. Those who know LOST WORLD should take the voice here and stretch the singing out. Somehow, it feels to me like they’ve mixed in effects, which doesn’t make it very interesting. OVO were unknown to me until today. However, after my research, I did come across dozens of articles that reported on them. The pieces don’t come together as a whole and don’t adapt anywhere. They are likely intentionally presented as a session, so you can’t guess what’s coming next. That has something to it and makes it very exciting! You can also discover certain fundamentals, but for my part, the voice has lost its appeal, even though it is highly regarded by the press. The whole thing comes in silver print without an inlay and includes 8 pieces and is available from LOAD Records. Available at CARGO Records.
