Well, what can I say about this? Generation Nokia on LSD with a hefty dose of coolness! The guitars are always slightly out of tune, with crazy vocal lines featuring a distinctive voice and driving bass and drum attacks. Time stands still with ALEX FACE. And I mean that in a wholly positive way. There’s nothing indie, nothing punk, nothing emo here. No, ALEX FACE loves music and plays straightforward rock on "Smell like a woman" that is rarely found today. The young Tom Waits and the Stones in their early days would surely appreciate ALEX FACE. The fact that the four Swedes only formed in 1995 makes this record even more likable. Even though some songs may have their lengths, it does not contradict the fact that ALEX FACE is a good band that plays real and straightforward rock.
