RamTatTa - KEEGAN – Looking out for No. 1

A label debut from Rookie Rec. that first reminded me of FISCHER Z with the first song "Pleased to meet you", although this band actually has very little in common with them. It was probably more the various bass lines... Britpop/Powerpop is indeed a fitting description, as they sound very mainstream, making it quite surprising that a German band can sound so British. Each song has something refreshing - off to the sun... I wouldn't be surprised to see the four-piece combo on MTV soon, although, looking at their tour dates, they could probably fit in a few more days. Aside from the fact that the guys can play, they seem to have found their niche and they master it well. The songs are thoughtfully produced, with catchy hooks.
It will probably just be a matter of time before you can't get past them anymore...
