RamTatTa - AS DIABATZ – RIDING TROUGH THE DEVILS HILL

Here comes a very special gem. A treasure of music from a South American country known for its brilliant footballers and unfortunately also for its ever-shrinking rainforest. There, cattle might graze that are turned into hamburgers by McDonald's. Not only bad things come from this country, but also really good psychobilly, as not everyone knows how it is with the cattle. Ladies and Gentlemen, here they are, AS DIABATZ from Brazil.
The band has been around since 2006. The female trio has already performed at the “Psychobilly Meeting” in Spain, which enjoys cult status in the scene. With “Riding through the devils Hill,” their debut album has now been released. A debut album that has a lot to offer. Even the first song “Woman in white” is a classic psychobilly song. The love and strong roots to the sound of the classic years are clearly noticeable in each of the ten songs. Rolling guitar, clicking double bass, and a confident, slightly provocative vocal style. Here lives the sound of the early 80s. Musical comparisons with THE METEORS can certainly be made, although AS DIABATZ are not quite as classic. However, they certainly do not play neorockabilly or aggressive psychobilly of the newer school. They play the horror sound of the 80s. Classic and perfectly staged!
