Everything here sounds like a dream come true for many college bands that aspire to a major label and large venues. “ALL TIME LOW” from Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland no longer need to dream; they can comfortably set out to follow the heroes of their childhood. ++++ ALL TIME LOW is an American pop-punk band that has known each other since high school and decided to form a band back then. It won’t surprise anyone who hears the first chords of the CD that the guys mostly covered Blink-182 songs during their rehearsals. It fits so perfectly into the mold that it’s almost unbelievable. Is it due to the producer?? Is that a good thing? Yes, it is. Fans of the genre will be delighted. Everything that the genre has to offer is implemented here, as “Hello, Brooklyn” proves. It’s nice to hear that in this vast swamp of high school punk, great lights are still emerging. ++++ After the first record deal with Emerald Moon, the path should quickly lead to HOPELESS just a year after the debut, where the guys have now also released their new CD. However, a lot is expected of them there. Six singles, one EP, and two full-length albums since their signing in 2006. ++++ With “NOTHING PERSONAL,” no expenses were spared. Fat sound, Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) was brought in as producer, tours; the complete package. Plus, a stylish CD in a cardboard sleeve. Everything done right. ++++ What else should I write? Everything has been said. In summary: ALL TIME LOW plays typical pop-punk, where the influences of Blink-182 are often clearly recognizable and can easily be placed alongside pop-punk bands like Paramore, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, The All-American Rejects, Boys Like Girls, or Cute Is What We Aim For.
