First of all, the band has a significant advantage. They come from Brighton. This wonderful city on England's south coast, which I visit whenever I can to shop in the Lanes, browse the nice, old, and crammed vinyl shops, eat greasy fish and chips on the large pebbles by the sea, and then drink many, many pints in a pub or at one of the many concerts. ++++ And for that reason alone, the music can't be bad. Brighton has developed, along with Liverpool and of course London, into a city that is always close to the musical pulse of the time, setting trends and making the old look new. There is a lot of potential in this city. ++++ To describe the music of THIS CITY, the band's self-description works wonderfully: melodic post-hardcore. Naturally and rightly, hardcore characteristics stand out, typical guitar walls, screamo elements, well-placed breaks. Despite everything, it remains down-to-earth and refers with every piece to its roots in punk rock; continuous melodies and singalongs. 10 tracks in 34 minutes serve as a good reference. ++++ At Flight13, the album is described as a dancier version of AT THE DRIVE IN. I’ll leave it at that and refer to the online edition for listening.
