This is clearly stated on the information sheet that accompanies this CD from the label STF RECORDS.
So, a band is said to have created something incomparable and sensational with their release, something unique. Without claiming to know every obscure corner of the music creators in the world, but being overly modest is different.
DARK DESIGN is a trio from Sweden consisting of former members of Rosmary and Her Whisper. DARK DESIGN is dedicated to '80s heavy metal characterized by clear vocals and dominant (solo) guitars in mid-tempo. The whole thing is melodic, and those who appreciate vocals that come across as both relatively high and epic may generally find something to enjoy with DARK DESIGN.
However, the album lacks several elements to be considered a sensation.
On one hand, the songs are catchy but very interchangeable. The ten songs flow well, and in the end, one wonders which song was truly outstanding. The answer is, none. Whether it is due to the very clean and precise production or the fact that the same material is presented ten times, I cannot definitively determine.
DARK DESIGN has released an album with “Time is an Illusion” that is good for background listening, which doesn’t hurt, which doesn’t stand out. That is too little for an outstanding CD. Fans of this genre of music will surely like DARK DESIGN, but it is not enough for cross-genre enthusiasm.
