A split vinyl record with a CD included, now that's something!
Save the Vinyl (and for the new punks who only know a turntable from Grandpa's living room) the same 10 songs are also available on CD, so there's something for everyone J
Unfortunately for me, I only received the CD version for review, but that's okay.
With 4 songs, HAGBARD CELINE opens the CD. And as with the previous 2 reviews of theirs in the last VF issues, I have a problem with the vocals. Chris de Barg wants to sing in the same league as Claus Lüer from KNOCHENFABRIK, but he doesn't quite make it. However, it has improved, the gap is getting smaller ;-)
Otherwise, the 3 to 4 ½ minute long songs are good German punk, I like them from the music to the lyrics!
Even better, however, are DIE VERWESENDEN ALTLASTEN. Musically and lyrically, I like them just as much as HAGBARD CELINE, only with D.V.A. I can also get along with the vocals of the 6 punchy 2-minute songs J And the lyrics are even a bit funnier... And that says something, because H.C. "Wann platzt Dirk Bach" is hard to top ;-) With "Satanic Hippie Kindergarten" and "Ich, meine Viagra und der verdammte Gott" (with the music from PASCOW), D.V.A. can keep up.
All in all, I am convinced by the split record including the concept of LP + CD
