The Storyteller, that’s the name of the new album by the Dutch band BAMBIX.
The Dutch group led by frontwoman Wick is known for their melodic punk rock, which is unmistakably characterized by Wick's distinctly trained singing voice.
The band has been around for more than 20 years now. For many bands, they have been and continue to be an influence. During this time, the lives of the band members have naturally also been filled with experiences. Experiences that have not always been pleasant, but also sad and bitter.
Wick has been particularly hard hit lately, as she lost her father.
Then the band was brought to a halt because Caddy, the new drummer, injured her arm and was unable to play.
But there were also beautiful moments. Every concert, certainly and anyway. But also the release of the split “3:15 am” with the Berlin band Johnnie Rook. On this split, Wick sings a duet with singer Franziska. The basis of this split was the close friendship between both bands. You can read the review of this split CD at ramtatta.de under

.
Alongside these rather personal experiences, the world has continued to turn, and not always for the better.
Thus, “The Storytailor” is about stories that you and I may have experienced. Stories that life writes and that often end sadly. It is the injustice that BAMBIX repeatedly denounces. The band conveys hope and strength.
The band continues to engage as best as they can. For example, you can currently win tickets, shirts, and the new CD on peta2.de. Animal welfare needs every support, so hurry to peta2.de, maybe you’ll be lucky and win.
At first listen, “The Storytailor” seems just like any other album by the Dutch band. It is melodic, the tempo is mostly kept at mid-speed, and Wick gives each song soul with her unmistakable voice. But already at the first listen, it becomes clear that the album is different.
The difference of the album reveals itself to the listener only when they engage with it. Only then do the songs surprisingly possess a lot of depth, and some tracks previously considered quiet punk numbers are even categorized as ballads. Here, the band could have perhaps shown a bit more courage and taken the tempo down even further to accompany Wick more softly. This would certainly have had an even better, more intense effect.
As mentioned, “The Storytailor” is not a sad album, but a marked one. A marked album about life. An album with an appeal to humanity.
The appeal to humanity is also available for fans of the 12" vinyl record in this format, specifically in stylish red vinyl.
