There are now so many variations of punk rock and rock'n'roll that one sometimes wonders if bands only form to create a new drawer in the rock'n'roll and punk rock cabinet, or if it’s really about the music and the fun of it.
That's why it's refreshing when bands like DUMBELL delight the local player. For fifteen years, the band has been on the road with changing lineups. Mastermind Paul Grace Smith, hailing from Ohio (USA), gathered musicians from the USA and France for this record and rented a warehouse in Dresden during the tour breaks in 2011. There he found a power line and a few recording devices, and off he went with the rock'n'roll.
The result is “Electrifying Tales“, an album that has a lot to offer.
From the very first second, there are loud, screeching, and damn kick-ass guitars, a drum set played by a tough guy, and a singer who has the perfect voice for rock'n'roll. If Elvis were still alive, he would surely make similar music.
DUMBELL create a sound that can be placed somewhere between Motörhead and The Hives. Solid rock'n'roll with a touch of craziness and noise!
This is something you have to listen to loudly! No matter what the neighbors say!

The fact that DUMBELL are popular all over Europe is evident from their tour dates. Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, and of course France are on the agenda. The band will definitely be back in Germany soon! Hopefully…
