Writing a record review can sometimes feel comparable to a root canal at the dentist. You don't want to put the artist down, yet it can be very difficult to maintain a reasonable balance.
Unfortunately, I can't linger too long on the positive aspects here either. The booklet is well done and the production overall is quite acceptable. However, just reading the promotional text makes me chuckle. The musicians from Zwiesel (where it's better to just blow glass) are presented as the "3 jokers." It's a pity that I don't find anything cheerful. With overly pubescent-chauvinistic lines like "...and then I told the slut: And my orgasm was just faked!" it seems only natural. There are German bands that only sing in English, and one might suggest they try something in their native dialect. In the case of Zitronen Püppies, I would recommend the opposite approach...
