Even though Sascha asked me to write his new band reimanns in lowercase, I’m writing it in uppercase and bold in the headline. I allow myself this freedom; he certainly won’t hold it against me, after all, we’ve known each other for 15 years. However, we’ve only seen each other 3 times during that time. Once when he was with his old punk band REAPER´S POGO here in OWL, and twice when I played with my old band NON CONFORM in his old hometown Eschwege, as well as at a festival in the Eschwege forest, where I was bitten by over 60 mosquitoes. They all ended up succumbing to alcohol poisoning though ;-)
For several years now, Sascha, who still holds the guitar while singing, has been living in the Ruhr area and has found two musicians there, Daniel (drums) and Norman (bass), who want to travel through Europe with him.
On their debut album "für lau", which by the way is available for download for "for free" on their homepage, there are 8 songs that are quite melodic, but also a bit too poppy for my taste. Unfortunately, nothing stands out in the 8 songs that would make reimanns somehow more extraordinary, allowing them to distinguish themselves from the pop-punk mediocrity.
However, now that I’ve listened to the album for the 4th or 5th time, I believe it would appeal to many girls. For us guys, it’s too soft, but for charming the girls… you know what I mean *fg*
Still, I’m a guy, so: 5 points
