Mike Zero, who has already shared the stage with Jürgen Engler in the band Dkay.com, has now released his third solo album titled "Now!".
Fast punk riffs, fitting drum beats, and lyrics about topics like "Riots" and "Messing Up" make the album a great English-language punk album in the classic style of Ramones, Iggy Pop, and The Clash. Nevertheless, Mike Zero's creative ingenuity often surprises, making his songs something special! It's clear that he doesn't just want to play catchy punk when you listen to the song "Lost in the Moment," which strongly reminds me of Monster Magnet. Lost in the Moment is a rather dark, tingling love song (I bet it's great for having sex ;-)) with subtle piano and appropriately integrated violins in the chorus.
Even the last song breaks with the usual punk style and reminds me of rock like that of Gilby Clarke.
The album, with its 11 tracks, is a real head-nodder!!
