Take MUSE, RADIOHEAD, the EDITORS, and HURTS, add a dash of JOY DIVISION and JOHNNY CASH to ensure success not just in England, and out comes REVERE! However, in these 48 minutes, so much (New) Progressive, Art, Indie, and Alternative Rock has accumulated that the 14 songs by REVERE often sound overly ornate. With seven band members, sometimes even eight, everyone naturally wants to be heard, which overcrowds many songs. But not every song on "My Mirror, Your Target" features the usual guitar-bass-drums performance alongside keyboards, sound effects, cello, and violin; singer Stephen Ellis also tries it solo on the second REVERE album, supported only by a guitar in the style of JOHNNY CASH. He has a good voice, but he doesn't reach the uniqueness of JOHNNY CASH. Unfortunately, I don't have the booklet or the lyrics, so I can't say much about the content of the songs. And as usual, that results in a point deduction.
