While listening, I immediately think of "Lasse Singers", or "Andy und die Anitas". A little later, I also think of the brilliant "Yeti Girls", although their songs were mostly in English, but with similar wordplay.
Speaking of which. The idea that the German language is not suitable for cool songs. You just have to want it. Many bands have already shown that, and ACHT EIMER HÜHNERHERZEN are another representative.

ACHT EIMER HÜHNERHERZEN manage to keep me grinning. And yet the music is so much more than just funny. For me, it’s fatalistic pop music, between the middle finger and self-overestimation.
And yes, I mean, who has ever made a cool pop song about Eisenhüttenstadt? And about spaghetti ice cream? Spaghetti ice cream at all... That’s on the cover, in a cone. That’s just not possible! You see... that it is possible, man.

ACHT EIMER HÜHNERHERZEN do what they want and show that Berlin is still far from being a clean business city. They give hope that not everything is lost yet. And they probably do more punk than many punk bands. They simply do what they want and do it so fresh and unspoiled that you just can’t help but be enthusiastic.
