16 years, two albums, Ruhr area, awesome melodic punk rock with heart and mind, and I'm only now hearing FEUERWASSER for the first time....
This means that for the past 4 weeks, I've been listening to the third album by FEUERWASSER on repeat. The 12 earworms ensured that after just the second listen of "Punklomerat," I could sing along to the choruses, individual verses, and especially the choruses. Amazing...
I have no idea what "Punklomerat" means, but the 12 German-language punk rock gems speak a clear language. Most songs point out our everyday actions, that we do not take advantage of our individual opportunities, whether by choice or inability. Religious fanaticism gets a hit – no, two hits. (Past) friendships are sung about, and the Nazi scum and the liars are not spared.
Nothing new, but unfortunately still relevant.
Musically, these 32 minutes are of the highest quality! These incredibly cool bass lines [I dream of them (positively, of course)], along with two fat - melodic - guitars (with many awesome riffs) and the corresponding drumming (sometimes roughly hammered - sometimes delicately played). 1A*****!
The CD is simply "FEUERWASSER for the soul" and deserves a must-buy! But no download or streaming stuff! No, it has to be the CD or LP, the super cool elaborate 16-page booklet and the inlay are worth it (bonus point)!
