„Feelings“
.... you couldn't name the fourth album of the four Riot Grrrls from Berlin any better. A concept album about messing up, living in the gutter, the most beautiful proof of love (when you cry big tears), Do you think I'm good (even without makeup and a mask), A heart (it breaks and sometimes it hurts) and am I a slut (and a normal person) up to the men (because they belong to build the grill, assemble the cupboard, have man flu or are in combat gear pressed against the wall with a baton drawn in a stripper outfit) and all of it with their flashy punk- / electroclash-sound.
Support for THE TOTEN CRACKHUREN IM KOFFERRAUM has been provided by several ladies, including ANNETTE BENJAMIN from HANS-A-PLAST as well as ARCH ALERT from TERRORGRUPPE, I believe they can be heard on the last track "Punkrock has broken my heart", but I'm not sure...
In any case, each song is a little gem in itself and makes the album a great jewel. Even though there are two small air pockets in it, as the fifth song "1000 little ants" falls a bit behind after these first four big hits (Messing everything up, Back to the gutter, Living the dream, and Rate me). Just a 9 instead of the full score for the song with the insect.
But then it continues with eight songs that make your heart race (I want to see you cry, You could leave, Build me a cupboard, Heart, Officer Sexy, I am a slut, How should I know what I want? And Punkrock has broken my heart). It's simply impossible to find ONE favorite song... "Back to the gutter", "Rate me", "I want to see you cry", "Heart", "Officer Sexy", "I am a slut", "How should I know what I want?" or is it "Punkrock has broken my heart"?
And then there's the hidden track "Eisbär", such an NDW song. But not like the classic "Eisbär" by GRAUZONE, no, much more depressing... apocalyptic mood... It also has something to do with feelings, but brings it down a bit after 45 minutes of playtime...
Nevertheless, "Feelings" is amazing and should, no must, be the breakthrough of THE TOTEN CRACKHUREN IM KOFFERRAUM after 13 years. That's it. BUY !!!!
