THE DEAD END KIDS

Short and sweet: Hot and Dirty is THE album of spring 2023! 14 awesome punk songs will blow your mind, but you have to buy the record (with download code) for that. Get out of your pajamas and head to the record store (or online shop)!!!!

However, these 3 sentences do not do justice to the 3rd album of the 3 punk rockers from Dresden and Leipzig. Even without a bassist, the 14 songs of THE DEAD END KIDS blast powerfully from the speakers. Lead and rhythm guitar along with a fat drumbeat provide the necessary energy (the bass was still recorded, even though I don't have the technical means to select it).

In addition, German lyrics are delivered by Caro and Fatima (the third in the trio is Charlie) about digitalization (how dependent we have become on it) and "our" prosperity + cash + work, about tin foil hat wearers and the controlling state apparatus, procrastination and selfishness, up to war and (abuse of) power. My thumb goes way up for that!

The 34 minutes of Hot and Dirty end with a cover of BEATSTEAKS vs. TURBOSTAAT. It doesn't get better than this (oh yes, it does, when you share a stage with ÄRZTEN, which THE DEAD END KIDS managed to do in summer '22).

Conclusion: Best album of spring.... Mandatory purchase!!!!
