I haven't bought anything new from the German punk scene in a long time. The most recent album in my repertoire is already from last year. But even this year, I find myself listening to Pascow quite often. They have also released a fine album on vinyl. 13 powerful songs that simply punk rock. Sometimes it gets fast and furious, and sometimes a bit slower, but all the more anthemic. Always accompanied by beautiful vocal melodies. The German lyrics move in a cliché-free zone somewhere between the well-formulated clarity of Knochenfabrik and the question-mark-inducing lyrics of Turbostaat and the whole cipher environment. Speaking of Knochenfabrik and the environment. The chief thinkers Claus and his colleague also contribute artistically to one of the songs. The lyrics are all nicely printed large in the huge glossy lyric booklet, which also looks good in terms of artwork. And for those who are more interested in the color of the vinyl than the music, here's the info that it's not black, but looks like pink marble.
