You mix bands like FOO FIGHTERS, NITROMINDS, GREEN DAY, SCUM41 and out come 4 guys who call themselves THE NEW STORY and want to conquer the world from Italy with their roots from past times, when they were still called N.FLUNDERS. Records like "Honeymoon On The Moon" from Le Parc Music are well-known, as is the EP "DENISE", which was self-released in April 2005 and sold out relatively quickly. Now, things are being done quite differently here, with much better music than one would expect. The arrangements are captivating and full of energy and power. They have already built a large fanbase in Japan as well as Italy, and surely these guys will also make an impact here and be able to convince some with their very well-made record. I find 11 tracks here, which were recorded in March and September 2005. At RUDE RECORDS, one should definitely check out this kind of Italian output. Very nice melodic riffs, with really good, sometimes multi-part vocals, they push you against the wall, and nothing feels familiar or boring in any way. It's just a shame that these bands can always get excited about the TV trash channel MTV! Homepage
