Unfortunately, this band has flown past me so far, much like this summer. I haven't heard anything about them, and to be honest, I didn't even know the name when I received this issue. These four gentlemen came together back in 1998 and hail from Chicago, where they found their place at VICTORY RECORDS. The music is well-balanced and feels very MTV-oriented to me. Sometimes poppy and then again with a lot of fire. JIMMY EAT WORLD would be a band I would definitely compare them to. These guys definitely place a high value on quality, and the mature pieces come across with a lot of melody. In the booklet, you'll find nice photos of the individual musicians, as well as lyrics and credits. Everything is kept minimal. Here, the music does exactly what it should! Nothing is pushy, and the recording, which was made and mixed in April 2006, is impressive! Anyone who enjoys the music of JIMMY EAT WORLD should definitely check this out! All 12 tracks have nothing to hide! For me, it's a bit too poppy and not aggressive enough.
