No, there is no typo in the band name! There is actually another band that sounds similar, comes from the Kiel area, and is spelled with 2 E's. But wasn't there a group that came from Germany in 1978 and had the same name? This band from Austria is a four-piece and plays solid punk rock with catchy guitar riffs and a consistent vocal style that doesn’t annoy me for once. The banners of THE CRETINS boldly display the RAMONES... Singable tracks and, free according to two fingers in the air, they rock solidly here! Great record. The inlay is a weak point! It consists of cardboard, and their website doesn’t provide much information either. The band formed in 2003 from BEATBRATS and ROTTEN ROOSTER. Well, they are not reinventing the wheel here, but that’s not necessary. Melodically and tightly, they play their 16 songs forward, and these reach the listener quite well packaged. Here and there, I am quite sure they will excite one or the other fan. The record will be released on April 27, 2007, via CARGO and DAMBUSTER.
