I was very pleased to see that the three gentlemen from the Zurich area are releasing a new record. It's a shame that the band hasn't gained significant recognition yet; they certainly deserve it! Now, I have their latest work in hand and I miss some elements of sound. In comparison to their LP COSMIC TRASH, which was released in 1997 (the band was founded back in 1990), the three Swiss have moved quite far away from that. There's no tinkling of synth sounds or juvenile attempts to incorporate metal... Today, it hits hard and shakes every wall as soon as this record reaches its deserved volume. This work is 100% mature and beautifully crafted! The vocals are rough yet clear in expression. Occasionally, the added effects bother me! But the record is rich in harmony and not just thrown together; it has developed its own style and polish, blending surf rock, street punk, with a touch of psycho rock and melodic parts that invite you to dance. It’s powerful throughout, and this is true for almost every song. The drummer does a great job here, and finally, a guitar that doesn’t annoy with its solos, despite the WahWah effects that not everyone likes. There are 16 songs + a video included, and surely the money is well invested here! The band has also contributed to a horror film production (Film: EIGHT), and their music is suitable not only for horror films... no, I could also see it fitting in some Western films! All in all, to sum it up: You can hear the 18 years of band experience, and no one will regret ordering the CD from PLANET TRASH (Switzerland) or CRAZY LOVE Records. A good tip for spring! Homepage
