Well, this is something really hard again. The band from France takes us into the vast world of female-fronted goth extreme metal prog cabaret with their album "2 Unlimited" (Ascendance/Soulfood). That should say it all, right?? How simple the world used to be when bands just played punk or metal or ska or goth or pop or, or, or? Now everything is complicated, and this is all the more complicated. I like goth, sometimes metal, and female vocals. Here we have....beautifully dark goth, there’s....a great female voice that fits, there are....energetic, powerful metal passages, there’s....there’s so damn much that mostly comes side by side and on top of each other, that I can’t distinguish anything anymore. Is this then extreme? Or prog? Or cabaret? I don’t know. It’s all too complicated for me!
