Asgaia's music is marketed as Dark Apocalyptic Metal, although I always have difficulty embracing these labels. In my opinion, the Thuringians simply offer good Metalcore that is played with craftsmanship and differentiation. The individual songs provide a good to very good tension arc that builds continuously with each track.
Very interesting are the epic choirs that give the recording a dark, sometimes even sinister touch.
However, after listening to the first 4-5 tracks, a bit of boredom creeps in because Thomas Thiele's vocals are too prominent, causing the clean parts to not shine through properly. In the future, care should be taken to ensure that both voices are equally represented, which was very well demonstrated in the piece "Temple of Life."
For headbangers, I can recommend the following songs:
The Void
Temple of Life
Cold Winterday
It's not the worst album, but I think the guys have much more to offer. I hope we get another chance to hear another work.
