Ramtatta.de has been around since 2004 with the idea of providing the internet with a platform that finds its home in the punk rock, hardcore, and metal scenes.
And now comes IRA!
We at ramtatta.de certainly all have more or less a musical and political background in the mentioned music styles, but we are not so set in our ways that we do not bring curiosity to other genres. Thus, it happens that we are increasingly becoming a platform for other music as well.
IRA is not hardcore, punk, or metal in the broadest sense. It is also not post-punk or whatever. It is a completely unique music that I still cannot grasp even after multiple, intense listens.
IRA are unique. The six tracks of the CD “These are the Arms“ take you on a journey of discovery to the limits of categorization.
Pop, wave, psychedelic rock, indie pop, atmospheric sounds, emo guitars, soundscapes, sonic tapestries, experimental handmade music… The band's style simply cannot be pinned down to fixed points.
The band from Konstanz has conquered its own territory with the six songs they have put on the record, which is available in a stylish 10" vinyl version as well as a digital version, a territory that is unknown to many bands both lyrically and musically.
IRA are dreamy. IRA are emotional. IRA are vulnerable. IRA are different!
It is music that demands full attention; otherwise, one should keep their hands off. This is indeed music that wants to be explored and discovered.
As I said, the Koblenzers are simply different!
