The Sickle – Hung up to dry
Italy offers not only Eros Ramazotti and pizza but also the young band "The Sickles." Modern melodic pop punk that encourages sing-alongs.
Right from the first track, which is also the title song of the album, a good mood sets in.
With "Mental Mess," it continues seamlessly in a sugary sweet manner, introducing all 14-16-year-old teens to the principles of the three chords.
Unfortunately, the good mood is already gone after song number 3, as there is no variety. "Without Guarantees" comes in the style of Blink 182, but unfortunately lacks original ideas.
With each subsequent track on this album, one gets the suspicion that this is an application CD for the next prom.
Soulless, boring pop music, occasionally enriched with distorted guitars. The punk attitude is sadly completely missing here.
And rock'n'roll is also not really present.
Unfortunately, this has not worked out and does not come anywhere near the great US role models.
