Yes, you can!
DIE BONKERS are the best proof of that! Even this intro captivates me and won't let me go for the next 38 minutes! No wonder, because DIE BONKERS play a healthy and devoted mix of MOTÖRHEAD, THE BONES, and GLUECIFER (or BACKYARD BABIES or HELLACOPTERS). It's the best punk'n'roll... Or as DIE BONKERS themselves call it: biker-punk-rock since their founding in 2007.
But be careful, there is also a band called THE BONKERS. They also play punk rock, but they come from Switzerland and have nothing to do with DIE BONKERS, who, by the way, are from Rostock.
Alongside the music, the vocals are also strong, with singer Johnny reminding me a lot of Kevin from BÖHSEN ONKELZ. But as long as the lyrics of DIE BONKERS distance themselves from those idiots, see and listen to the song "Wehende Fahnen" on this CD or on YouTube, I'm fine with it.
FREI.WILD also get their share, as DIE BONKERS are the hunters and the South Tyroleans are on their menu! *fg*
"Auffe Fresse" is also more than successful, as it settles accounts with the tough guys. Nobody really needs them.
The other 9 songs mainly revolve around drinking or alcohol or alcohol while drinking. Therefore, DIE BONKERS are already my friends :)
After the 13 songs or 38 minutes, the party is not quite over yet. With "Don’t mess with the BC" comes a somewhat unusual song that reminds me of the Judgement Night sampler, the sampler where hardcore/metal bands play together with hip hop bands, HELMET with HOUSE OF PAIN, SLAYER with ICE-T, BIOHAZARD with ONYX, etc. I found that absolutely brilliant almost 20 years ago!
In the 15th (bonus) track, DIE BONKERS poke fun at themselves for 5 minutes. Here, DIE ATZEN are mocked with a schlager song, DIE KASSIERER and HORST SCHLÄMMER are imitated, and other artistically high-quality content is revealed... Well, here I’ll just close both my eyes tightly :) and still give the highest rating.
