With the second album by the Swedes SATAN TAKES A HOLIDAY (what a band name! However, there was already an album of the same name released in 1995 by Anton Szandor LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan), I once again have a Rock´n´Roll record from the country of the currently best football player in the world Zlatan Ibrahimović (at least in my opinion), so the album can only be good!
And this is immediately proven to me by the first sounds that blast around my ears. The three guys from Stockholm mix a good dose of garage punk rock into the common Scandinavian rock'n'roll, so you can definitely hear influences from THE SUBWAYS and THE WHITE STRIPES in their songs. I like the album, especially the first of the total 12 songs. Unfortunately, the songs become increasingly slower and more sluggish towards the middle. The momentum gradually escapes from the album and slowly transitions into a sluggish rhythm and blues sound. In between, they step on the gas a bit again, only to ultimately end the album with a heavy THE HIVES sound after 38 minutes.
Unfortunately, I have no further information about the album, no booklet, no cover, not even the original CD, just a burned CD-R and a simple short information sheet.
Sorry, but for something like this, there are 2 big minus points without a doubt! However, for those who are still interested in "Who Do You Voodoo," they can certainly imagine those 2 points.
