GASOLINE THRILL is a band from England that showcases triple female power along with a boy on drums. Their debut album, titled "Burn," features 13 tracks. Coming straight from London, it’s all the more surprising that I haven’t heard more from the band. After all, it is the capital of punk rock, and the opportunities for a band to make a name for themselves there must be nearly endless. According to information on the internet, the record is already from 2012, so the three girls and the drummer boy can consider themselves lucky that the promoter Mario Schölcke, who seems very motivated in terms of promotion, has taken the band under his wing and now wants to make them known in our regions as well. Nevertheless, the music must first be tested thoroughly. It proves to be a solid number, but is definitely still expandable in its arrangements. A bit more variety is lacking throughout the album, even though it sounds quite good overall. However, a real hit doesn’t ignite for me on this record. The singer does have a good voice that harmonizes well within the band context. Overall, the sound should still be refined a bit more to stand out from the mass of punk rock bands.
