Now the band members have arrived in Japan.
The guys around mastermind Fat Mike have taken on six songs from the land of the rising sun. As always with ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES, the result is charming.
The songs have not just been given new life; they are even performed in the local language. It surely took some hours until the lyrics were so secure that they can now be sung effortlessly into the microphone. The songs sound almost as if the band has never spoken another language. Now, I am not an expert in the Japanese language, but everything sounds smooth and natural. Good luck to anyone trying to replicate that.

The songs have everything to put a smile on your face, if it hasn't already happened because of the cover. A cover that perfectly conveys the sometimes over-the-top, blunt, but always cheeky humor that the combo possesses.
